Pastoral Care

Central to the care provided at Mercy Hospital is the attention given to the spiritual well-being of patients and staff. While all employees contribute to the spiritual care provided at Mercy Hospital it is the particular focus of the Pastoral Care Team.

The Pastoral Care Team and Chaplains provide opportunity for individuals and their families to grow through the illness event. There is a strong ecumenical focus on care for patients but denominational input is also available. We also offer extended care to patients after discharge as part of our interest in their welfare. This is a unique service, the value of which is widely known and appreciated throughout the community and is an important part of Mercy Outreach.
