Professional Profile
I specialize in surgery and endoscopy of the gastrointestinal tract. This includes colonoscopy and gastroscopy. I have a major career interest in laparoscopic surgery and perform laparoscopic gallbladder surgery, laparoscopic anti reflux surgery (Nissen fundoplication), and laparoscopic hernia repair and laparoscopic bowel surgery.
My interests and practice strengths allow me to provide a fully integrated care package for patients with diseases of the gastrointestinal tract such as gallstones, colonic and rectal cancer, ano-rectal diseases and diseases of the upper gastrointestinal tract including reflux oesophagitis and malignant disease of the oesophagus and stomach. I provide a screening and surveillance programme for patients with a family history of colon and rectal cancer. Regular colonoscopies are scheduled using a computer database.
Other general surgical problems such as skin and subcutaneous tissue malignancy are also part of my practice profile.
I do not provide surgical management of breast, thyroid or vascular problems.
