Dr Logan Mitchell is a highly trained ophthalmologist based in Dunedin, with subspecialty expertise in both corneal disease and strabismus. He completed his medical and ophthalmology training in New Zealand, followed by advanced fellowship training at two leading Australian institutions: the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in Melbourne (strabismus) and the Royal Adelaide Hospital (cornea).

Dr Mitchell has particular expertise in complex adult strabismus surgery, including the use of adjustable suture techniques, as well as advanced corneal procedures such as DSAEK (Descemet’s Stripping Automated Endothelial Keratoplasty) and other lamellar transplant techniques.​

In addition to his subspecialist work, Dr Mitchell provides comprehensive ophthalmic care including cataract surgery, glaucoma management, and general eye health services. He is passionate about restoring and preserving vision, and is known for his warm, approachable manner and commitment to patient education.
